  1. Tango says:

    I suppose that’s quite true.

  2. simesegal says:

disagree, that doesn’t make sense to me. I dont think you should turn to tatoos like its some type of cure. Is that what you meant?

  3. EarthCalling says:

I agree. The thing that is missing is a- Tattoo.

  4. Dan says:

I agree, but everyone is looking for something in their life. Thing is, not everyone is getting a tattoo. I don’t want one.

  5. Chris P says:

Tattoos began many years ago, in many cultures the tattoos would tell the story of a persons journey through life from places they had been and things they had done. Today people tend to get tattoos as a symbol of their individuality or as a symbol of something meaningful in there life such as a birth or something of that nature so I have to disagree with you.

  6. Vivi says:

Not really, no. Perhaps they just like tattoos?
What about people who collect stamps, support their favourite football team, watch their favourite TV programmes every night, people who collect paintings, people who keep pets like cats and dogs, or people that like to go clubbing?
Do they all have something missing in their lives too?

  7. katertot6066 says:

No. . . I don’t feel that they are missing something!

Some many people get tattoos because that particular design has meaning to them, or because they fell that tattoos are a form of art!

  8. TokyoSteve says:

If by “something” you include “a tattoo” then I agree!
It’s just fashion – some people are more dedicated to fashion than others. They will do things and spend money to fit in with a subculture more than most. They may have different attitudes compared to you and I but it is more to do with personality than an emotional void.

  9. Beth H says:

    I absolutely disagree.

I have to wonder if there is not something missing in your life if these are the things you think about. What does it matter to you what anyone else does to their body?

Edit: Seriously, this is your third question about tattoos in as many days. What is your problem? For someone who thinks tattoos are “tacky” and people who get them are “weird” you sure do care alot about them.

  10. Alisha N says:

disagree. . some people like me. . actually enjoy getting tattoo’s because they are creative and artistic . I have big tattoo’s that all were drawn by me or it was my idea. . and they all mean something to me. . its not that it was something was missing but something that i wanted to remember. . as my dads death. . i have a leg piece dedicated to him. . so i definitely disagree

  11. LAdy-ยป xClUSiVE. says:

Umm I disagree, either they want one cuz they want one, but you shouldn’t get a tattoo because something’s missing in your lifee

  12. Stevie says:

wierd people? what the he** is that supposed to mean? why. . . because we dont conform to what others see as the norm?

My tattoos are all for friends that I lost in combat. . . . I enjoy my tattoos because when people ask about them I get to share my story of what wonderful people my friends were and I make sure their memory stays alive.

  13. Jessy says:

DISAGREE!!! Life’s is spelled LIVES. . . anyways. . there is nothing missing if there were then they would have nothing to put on their bodies. . now if its a person that past away then they are missing from the persons life. . i think that we put tattoos on our body to signify struggles or certin things that we dont want to ever forget about. . . that everytime we look at the tattoo it can remind us why we got it. .

  14. Ly says:

I felt I was missing – a tattoo. So in that sense you’re right.

But it seems you’re insinuating that people get tattoos to make up for lack of self esteem/confidence/relationships or something of the sort. In which case all I can say is – shut up.

I’m one of those ‘weird’ people who are covered in tattoos and I never felt a damn thing was missing besides the tattoo. I’d rather be covered in tattoos and not a judgemental idiot and assume because somebody is covered in tattoos they’re weird, but I guess that’s personal preference. Myself, I think people who judge somebody as weird based solely on appearance are very very weird.

  15. Tina says:

No I don’t think the reason behind getting a tattoo has to do with having something missing in their life. I think the range of reasons for having a tattoo are very diverse.

  16. cheek_of_it_all says:

    Yes I do.

    I wouldn’t have one.

  17. peter c says:

    DISAGREE

  18. Vicsta says:

No, I don’t agree with that – as a rule. I’m sure there are some people who rely on tattoos etc to fulfill a void in their lives, but sometimes it’s just a case of personal choice, such as hair style or piercings, albeit, much more permanent!

Personally, I feel tattoos should be meaningful, but not everyone feels that way. I have one tattoo which is in memory of my Grandad (tudor rose), and another in memory of an old family friend (lilly). I guess you could say that I have tattoos to replace lost loved-ones, ie. something missing in my life, but I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

  19. Rhubix says:

I don’t agree, My aunt and uncle are both covered in tattoos each one symbolizing a great thing in their life, so it’s the opposite for them. Each one is representing something they have earned or gained in life.
To others it’s simply art, they like the way it looks.

  20. Mika says:

I disagree. I have a few tattoos dedicated to people I have lost and one dedicated to the person who made the most difference in my life. I am a happily married professional with tattoos. I am not missing anything, but I love the art of tattoos. And my husband loves my ink. It’s all personal preference and opinions. I won’t force my opinions on you and I expect the same courtesy.

  21. stevel226 says:

Another case of someone trying to analyze tattooed people. I don’t have a tattoo and I used to think that way. That is until I met my beloved. She has 3 tattoos and is the most classy woman I have ever met. Her tattoos represent certain aspects of their lives. I am now her biggest fan and appreciate them. If she didn’t have her tat’s she wouldn’t be who she is. It’s individuality. Give people with tat’s a break. They are just like anybody else.

  22. fiji2litre says:

Most people get tattoos for a specific reason. I have mine to pay tribute do my dead family members. Many people would not guess that because they are roses on and around a cross. The way I keep them separate it to make them a different collor. So maby it is something a person is missing in thier life. How ever this is not the reason that every one else might have. It is mine none the less.

  23. debbie b says:

i am heavily tattooed all a work of art & i certainly don’t having anything missing in my life. far from it. because of my tatts i am an individual & proud of it. its the peolpe who live their lives trying to model themselves on someone on the TV or in the movies or go out & buy the same clothes that everyone else is wearing at that point in time. so when you go out & walk down the street it just looks like the attack of the clones all look the same dress the same & have their hair done the same. so its you lot that have something missing in your lives & thats your own life & your identity

  24. chocolate says:

    Depends.

  25. jen t says:

people are free to do what they want

  26. Casa Hiedra says:

Disagree. It takes all kinds and you might just say the same about people who spend hours playing computer games, soccer or monopoly!

Doesn’t turn me on though ( nor do computer games, soccer or monopoly!)

  27. irish k says:

i disagree i cant speak for every1 but alot of people get them as a reminder of something special not about somethin that is missing in the life, just because i am missing a car dont mean im gonna go and get 1 tattooed on me

  28. shegsy tattoos says:

People have something missing in their life’s if they feel the need to get a piercing – agree or disagree?

People have something missing in their life’s if they feel the need to get a car – agree or disagree?

People have something missing in their life’s if they feel the need to get a pet – agree or disagree?

People get tattoos because they want to have a tattoo for whatever reason they want it, and that’s their business.

  29. charlie says:

Disagree. I have 4 and do not feel like I am missing something or trying to fill some big gap that is in my life.

And people who choose to get body suits are not ‘weird’.

But hey, each to their own.

  30. joseph i says:

depends i guess i have gotten tattoos dedicated to people who passed and also an ex girlfriend really wanted me to get the tommy lee rocker tattoo but as soon as we broke up did it out of spite i guess. . . . . really really pissed her off when she seen it at the beach lol. . . . . . . probably cuz it soaked her panties

  31. battie says:

disagree. its self expression. they have nothing missing in life if they have found having a tattoo was what was missing in life

  32. johnni_louise says:

whole heartedly disagree. If you count individual tattoo’s i have 36. I dont get them cause Im missing anything. I get them as a part of me. Its just me. I have memorial tattoo’s and they rest are one that symbolize and mean me. Everyone has issues with themselves such as self esteem and other things and you can include me in that but, I know that a tattoo wont solve issues with myself. I get them because there meaningful to me and help me remember times in mylife that i never want to forget. They tell the story of me. Where i’ve been, what i’ve been threw.

  33. fafandloo says:

Id have to disagree with you , Ive nothing missing in my life and i have 9 tattoos i got them because i wonted them not because i was missing something. as for the weirdos as you say having there whole body tattooed well there not you so whats it got to do with you really. each to there own.

  34. bebishenron says:

i disagree. tattoos are a form of art, people with tattoos like to adorn their bodies with pretty pictures and symbols, most of which mean something to them personally. it is a deeply personal thing. tattoos do become addictive though but i wouldnt call anyone with any number of tattoos weird regardless of where they have them. do you think some tribes are weird for being covered in them? what difference is there really?
and in answer to some morron who said “its fashion” how the hell do you work that out?! if it was there would be many many more people wandering around with them and probably most of them would be copies of what celebs have! you need to speak to some real tattoo fans not fans of celebs! i never knew tribes in the middle of the jungle had tv and saw “fashion” around a lot!

  35. munki says:

Disagree-tattoos are an art form and have been around for centuries. They are a form of expression and are beautiful if done correctly.
I have 10 tattoos and each one represents something ranging from memorials to people I love that have died to important happy events in my life. Just because you don’t personally like them doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with them,I’m sure you like things that other people don’t but we don’t judge you by them. I have a very happy and content life and don’t have anything missing thank you!

  36. kerry says:

disagree. you could say people have something missing in their life if they have to watch x-factor.

  37. Giles T says:

disagree! all you people that say no i wouldnt get one are so square, funny thing is you say that but most of you probably take drugs or some other shit! i have a friend who is covered from head to foot in tattoo and he is one of the nicest people you could meet, he isnt missing anything in life apart from some visible skin!

  38. Carrot says:

    nope.

many people see their body as a canvas to paint or something to decorate. we all do this with individuality and for varying lengths of time. i personally wouldnt have tattoos covering large areas but thay are very interesting.

    each to their own!!!
