warm or hot water opens the pores of your skin, so it is best to use warmer water before or while you wash your face.
however, it is important to close the pores after washing and or exfoliating the face, so after you wash or exfoliate, splash or use a face cloth of cold water.

if you have oily skin, use oil blotting sheets or rice paper sheets sold at many cosmetic or drug stores. this helps prevent clogging of the pores! however, it is still important to use a face wash in order to cure breakouts.

      hope this helps!

wash with warm but rinse with cold. warm opens the pores to let in your face wash and cold closes them to keep dirt out

I would just quit from the routines and go with proactive. Honestly it works awesome, i mean the first two weeks you might break out a bit but its just cleaning all the oil from deep inside your pores. but after that it really is worth the money. Im a tan person so when i used acne treatment crap from the stores it made my face all white! and my body would be real tan. I hated it! but proactive made my skin tone actually my same tone and made it glow beautifuly! Now i dont have to wear make up no more!

No its better with hot because it opens your pores and helps get rid of dirt and grease, and its good to use a face scrub with the bits in cos that helps get rid of dirt too. I also use teatree which works well but if you normally get spots you cant do much about it and also depending on your age, best thing is to just wash your face really well twice a day.

well you need a good cleanser first and you wanna use warm water to open your pours and get all the dirt and other stuff that’s in there . . after that you should use cold water to rinse so it closes up your pours and doesn’t let dirt in . . .
      -hope this helped you

hot water! it opens the pores and helps you clean them out better.
then once your done splash your face with cold water to make them smaller so dirt won’t get in them!
or rub ur face with an ice cube!

      Hi Nic,

As many have said, wash with hot water and finish with cold water. Here is some info that may help.

The cause of pimples is bacteria and oil trapped in the skin and tea tree oil kills bacteria you can dab a bit of tea tree oil on the infected area. It is a good idea to wash the skin first to remove any oils and dirt that might be blocking the way. Studies in Australia have proven that tea tree oil kills bacteria including Propionibacterium which is the main cause of acne.

Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. The Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

If you have an acne problem, search out products which contain tea tree oil for a safe solution. Although it is used as a topical solution for different types of cleaning and infections, it might be a good idea to find a tested product that will benefit your skin in other ways as well.

Also, the watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.

Gel or juice of Aloe Vera is highly useful in fading of acne scars. You can grow Aloe Vera plant in your home and apply freshly taken pure Aloe Vera gel to your scar. Otherwise many branded cosmetic companies manufactures pure Aloe Vera gel, so you can choose the best cosmetic companies to get Aloe Vera gel.

Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin.

Warm/hot water opens pores whereas cold water closes pores. It is perfectly okay to wash with warm water as long as you remember to dose yourself with cold water after that to close the pores and prevent dirt from entering and getting trapped.
