It is now just below my ears, which is very short and I want to grow it out a bit. Roughly how would it take to get it to my shoulders?
Any advice on how to maintain maximum growth. Does frequent conditioning damage the hair?
Does olive oil and coconut oil really help it to grow?

keep cutting off the ends and eat healthy is all i can really tell you. i use olive oil shampoo that smells awesome. . . but thats not the point. just keep cutting off the ends when it starts growing longer.
It takes hair a while to grow and there isn’t really anything that can help it. Hair usually grows for a couple months then it takes a break and will stop growing.
eating protein like meat or something.
the length and how fast your hair grows is genetic. . . if anyone in your family has fast growing long hair, chances are you will too.
I’m not sure about the olive oil or coconut oil, and I use conditioner in my hair every day. But to help your hair grow faster you could take pre-natal vitamins. You do not have to be pg to take them, and believe me they do work for hair and nails.
ask Britney spheres lol
no clue sry for know help

well everyone is different but I would say around 7 months, and that would probably be right to your shoulders, most peoples hair grows about a half an inch a month
Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month. How ever much longer you want it then multiply by two that is the months it will take.
Example 6 inches will take 12 months etc. . . .
Frequent conditioning does not damage the hair. It is the items you use to style the hair that does the damage such as blow dryer, curling/straightening iron.
nothing helps except a good diet, excersise, water, and sleep. didnt i answer a similar question yesterday?
No, using oils will not help it grow, it will just add more strength to your hair.
Hair, on average, grows a quarter inch per month. Don’t dye it, put highlights in it, blow dry it, straighten it, curl it, etc. Just leave it alone, keep it cleaned and conditioned, and let mother nature do its job.
Good luck, I know that it may suck for you, but it WILL grow out.
im guessing 6 months.
it would take you a million years. . lol. . .
Well it depends on what you eat and how much time you sleep. What you eat like fruits and vegtables can help it grow more helthier and longer. Sleep can do many good things to you like it makes you grow taller and it grows your hair too. Using olive oil will make it be more helthier and stronger.
well, hair grows an average of half an invh per month. so you have to measure the length to figure this out. To assist hair growth, you can use rogain for women, it will also thicken your hair. Try a deep conditioning mask once per month, a strengthening shampoo and conditioner, and monthly trims.
rub miracle grow on it or even poop i hear that makes great fertilizer
mine is down my back and i use both of them
i would say try washing your hair less and start using carrot oil also put some micro braids in your hair for a couple of months
hair grows about half an inch amonth but u can get vitamins that make it grow faster than that or prenatle vitamins will make it grow really fast too ( =
for a girl, it takes a long time. but i know that hair grows faster in warmer temperature. so stay in the sun.
1/2 inch per month is normal growth rate
yeah it defends on your hair in how long it will be coconut oil helps make the hair shiny and to take away the split ends of your hair so coconut oil is good for hair than olive oil
U SEE THEY SAY THAT IF U THINK OF PERVERTED THINGS, THEY SAY UR GROWTH OF HAIR WILL WORK FASTER, SO START WORKIN UR MIND ^^
PS:IT WORKS FROM UR HORMONES, SO CONTROL IT XD
i think its almond oli ur thinkin of i no exactly how u feel iv been tryin to grow my hair 4 ages but then gave up and bobbed it, hair is suppost to frow a cm a month but mine so doesnt! if u think abt it it should look at ur legs, u shave it off then a weel later its back in full blast if hair on ur head grew as fast id b one happy camper!
mine took about 10 months
your hair grow up to about 1/8 of an inch every month but if you trim it occasionally and if you take care of it, it can grow faster
well, everyones hair grows at different speeds, but it should (roughly) take like 6 months or so. thats a good, what, 5 or 6 inches to grow back? it’s gonna take some time, sorry!!!
For a healthy person who has shaved his head. . . . hair grows one quarter of an inch per month
it depends on your race. Caucasions hair tends to grow really fast. African american hair grows fast but its so curly it looks like no progress. i would suggest deep conditioning every week. lay off the heat products.
My beautician said I should get the VERY ends trimmed every 10-12 weeks until it gets to the length I want.
Also, there is a horse shampoo called Mane & Tail you should try. It has lots of nutrients that make horses hair healthier but for some reason, it gives our hair an extra boost & often makes it grow faster. And it will clean your hair as good as regular shampoo.
If your hair grows like mine, it’ll take you about 8 months to get that much length on it!
Hope this helps, really—try Mane & Tail. Some stores even put it in the “human” shampoo section now!!
they have vitamins, for hair skin and nails. It does work, not too much faster than regular hair growth, but it makes your skin clearer, and your nails grow faster, along with your hair being healthier
it depends how fast your hair grows.
probably 8 months to a year if you’re looking to grow it to your shoulders. i know, long time but you might as well flaunt your short hair while you have it.
just condition your hair every time you take a shower. too much will dry out your hair and make it scalpy.
in average, hair grows half an inch a month.
get your hair trimmed every month.
oh, also eat lots of protein because thats what hair grows off of.
cut the tip of the hair to make it grow faster and it will grow about 1cm a month usally
Unfortunately many people are not aware of the fact that while hair can be extraordinarily resilient, once it has emerged from your scalp is has no facility for renewing itself. It is considered to be dead protein.
The average person has around 100,000 strands of hair on their head and the average rate of growth is a mere one-half of an inch per month.
By the time the ends of your hair actually grow down to your shoulders, they are approximately two years old.
Think about it. Two years is a long time for hair to be subjected to the daily wear and tear of the environment, washing, drying, brushing, combing and any chemical processing. Just imagine what a piece of silk or fine fabric would look like after 2 years of constant handling.
Even if you take the best care of your hair possible, your hair still goes through a natural aging process which can also impact the growing cycle of your hair.
good luck
ehhh
no clue how long , but every month or so get the ends cut a lil bit and that will help with your hair growing faster right now mine is almost to my shoulders and I’m getting it cut bc I wasnt to get all my dyed hair cut off
so good luck
Hair grows about 1/2 an inch every month which equals 6 inches a year. Depending on how fast your hair grows, it could grow up to 8 inches a year. As far as getting it to grow faster, take lots of vitamins including Biotin and B6 and eat a lot of protein. You need to also drink lots of water and have a healthy diet. Deep condition it at least once a month or use hot oil treatments. Shower in cold water, as cold as you can stand anyway. It’s just little basic things that will help it be stronger. And try sleeping on a silk pillow at night to prevent breakage.
Use 2 in 1 shampoo or conditioner. my docter says that it helps hair grow, in about 7 monthes, my hair grew about 1 and a half inches. olive oildoes, but coconut oil is just for healthier hair. Eat your daily colors and ill help your hair
genetics

mine was this length 2 years ago, my hair is now about 4 inches short of bra strap length.
to maximise growth the obvious don’t cut it! check for split ends and cut these yourself, i haven’t cut in 2 years and i haven’t one split end.
I also take a multi vitamin pill a day and 2000mcg of biotin. Also using herbal shampoos and conditioners has helped the condition of my hair. Plenty of protein, water and sleep is good, as is regular head massages.
Hope this is of help to you.
Hair takes a while to grow, some people’s hair seems to grow quicker than others.
If you really can’t wait for it to grow, try hair extensions, they are so much better now days than they used to be, but this is the more expensive option, and you need to choose a really good salon.
