• How do you get permission to use and print things like Dora Explorer, Mickey Mouse etc. . . ?

I see so many people selling t-shirts, pj’s etc. . . . at markets I am wondering how they have permission to market these items?

Iwish to use a Mickey Mouse image in red and black ink in a book I am preparing for a small printing (500 copies) of my husband’s fascinating life. At the age of 11 in Scotland in 1932, he wrote to his parents on notepaper headed with an small image of Mickey Mouse delivering a letter to Minnie.

I would like to print the letter in its entirety including the image and hope to publish the book in 2012. May I get permission to use this image from you or would you please direct me to the right address to get this permission. Thank you. Ann McIntyre
