I’m getting my braces off in 3 days, whats the process of taking them off?

My braces are going to come off in 3 days, yay! Those 3 long years.
-What should I expect?
-What do the orthodontists do?
-What are retainers is it like plates?
-Some people say they whiten/clean your teeth when they come off. Do they do that cos my teeth are real bad cos its hard to reach with the tooth brush.
-The appointment is going from 9am to 4:30pm. What are they doing/process?
Cos thats really long.
-Is there pain involved?

Im 21 female getting ceramic braces, is this stupid? A co worker said that men will not attract to me if I have them on and I am worried about the discoloring as well? I am a coffee freak as I work two jobs (day and night) and now worried I wont be able to have this anymore. Is there a product to help keep them whitened and whats the difference between the white and metal wire? Which should I get, I get them on Friday! Thank you

Can my new electric toothbrush really remove stains? What is best companion whitening toothpaste?

Also got a quote for professional teeth whitening recently and replacement of my stained composite veneers with porcelain ones. All up, I am up for some $2,600.

Do these quotes sound reasonable? Should I shop around? Any suggestions?
