Im thinking of wearing this to my formal and was wondering if a simple strapless corset would look good under it to give me a nice shape.

My boyfriend has asked me to go to the year 10 formal that is coming up soon, i am in year 9 by the way. I am very nervous lol because i dont know what dress to buy. i want a store that has dresses that dont show to much of my body just like a nice dress that would match a formal. Please help me i am stressing because i dont know what dress to buy :( thanks so much

How do you temporarily shorten a dress (i. e. without cutting)?

I want to shorten this satin dress I have that goes just past my knees, but it’s an expensive dress and my mum will kill me if i damage it. It looks good with the sides lifted up as it gives a nice draping effect. Is there anything i can use, such as a clip or something, that won’t be too heavy, fall off, and won’t make holes in the dress so I can just as easily remove it once the night is through?

Is it way too early to buy a formal dress?

My year 10 formal is in late November but I was looking for patterns (I was going to make my dress) when I came across this pretty number:
