I think you should go for a grey smokey eye look.

      Smokey Eye Makeup (:
Nude Lips. . And makesure you put white eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes, it opens them up and makes anyone look beautiful.

try lining your eyes with a teal greeny colour it opens up the eye, as does brown or blue mascara instead of black. a smokey eyes look would look great if you’re going for a sexy look. or just a touch of gold eyeshadow and some black liquid liner on the top lid would look great :)

smokey eyes, benefit do a good makeup set for it.

try doing a smokey eye look with silver on the lid, and purple on the crease.

Try blending a dark glittery green with light grey. If you do the light grey in the inner corners of your eyes then put a tiny bit of white right in the corner, it should make your eyes look bigger.

smokey grey eyes (similar shade to the dress) and hot pink/nude lips.

I would go for very neutral tones. Soft peaches or pinks but play up your lashes! Go to M. A. C and have them put on temp. lashes for you or if you can afford it get lash extension done ( the 2nd option is the BEST) If you get the lash extension done they can suggest which style would be best for your eye and face shape as well as the special occasion but yet they look very natural. I had people all the time asking me what mascara I wore because my lashes were so long and perfectly curled!
Neutral tones but lush black lashes perfect= perfection!

      I wore a grey dress to a wedding recently. . . .
I wore a lovely silvery shimmer eyeshadow on the inside of my eyes. . gradually turning into a darker grey, then a steel greyish black on the corners and blended it in to death to make it look sexy and smokey! Then i applyed a large flicked out sweep of liquid eyeliner and purple kohl eyeliner into the inner rim of my eyes, really brings out the eye colour. I always use fake eyelashes too they are amazing, especially eylure preglued ones :)
Then for my lips i used mac saint germain as pink goes amazingly well with grey
      benefit dandelion on the cheeks!
      Best of luck!

A grey smokey eye would be good, with light pink lips.

I wore a grey sequined dress to a Christmas party this past holiday season, and had my make-up done at MAC for the occasion. Those are the colors the make-up artists chose for me.

Firstly, get all your eyeshadows out, and find a part of your arm/wrist that is a similair colour to your eyelids, then test out the colours that match your colour/skin tone, then, as you have dark brown hair, maybe, part your hair more to the left, and brush/gel the hair back on the right side, then curl your hair and puff it up, and clip loose bits in, so its basically like one side is brushed back , and then one side is bushy and left out and curly.
Then, do your lipstick, maybe a light pink, dark red, a peachy colour or a bronze/gold.
Then use a light bronzer on your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks, as these are the parts that tan easy! Great style i reckon!!!
And plus, you have a hairstyle now, a dress, and make up ideas. Have a lovelt 20th babe x

I cant give you a right answer without seeing your skin and dress. . .

are you accessorizing anything (bracellet necklace, arm cuff) with your dress/ shoes? does it have colour? if so, pick out one of colours on your accessories and highlight. .

I suggest you stay away from black and silver eye make up, especially the smokey eye in conjunction with those colours. they will just blend right in with your outfit, and smokey in black has a tendancy to look trashy.

You can however do do smokey with other colours. . . even if you used a more champagne coloured shadow and blended with rust. or a more golden colour for darker skin tones looks awesome. . .

personally for my skin tone etc i would use metallic white, pink, light silver for my eyes. . i i would blend out a little (but not a full smokey) and add some white pink silver sparkles ontop using lip gloss to hold them in place. but i also know my eyes and skin tone well to know what goes with it.

try out a bunch of different styles and try your dress with em

      good luck!

So if you start with the eyes: Use a base coat first so that your eyeshadow lasts long and looks more built up–try MAC cream colour base in pearl then to make your eyes stand out use a dark colour on the lid ( try MAC eye shadow in Swimming or Max Factor eye shadow in moonshine meadows) then on the crease use a lighter colour (Urban Decay in vibrant jade)!! Then for the eyeliner maybe you could try something like the 24/7 Zero eyeliner which is very good! And for the mascara i like the Benefit Bad Gal lash mascara and the max factor falsh lash affect is supposed to be good.

Face: For the face i like the Almay foundation which is very good and for a coat over try Bare Escentuals(Bare Minerals)powder/foundation which is amazing (: SOOO goood!!

Lips: I would go nude lips maybe a little nude lipgloss but not a strong colour as any strong colour would just clash with your eyes!

i think dark purple would be a nice contrast to the dress and a bit more exciting than a smokey eye.
