• What is the difference between a cream cleanser and a gel cleanser?

I noticed that a lot of cleansers come in both cream and gel? What is the differnce between the two?

    Thanks!

A cream cleanser is better for normal to dry skin. It doesn’t get sudsy/bubbly and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized after rinsing. An example of a cream cleanser would be Noxema skin cream or Pond’s cold cream.

A gel cleanser is better for normal to oily skin. When mixed with water, it becomes sudsy and removes excess oil better than a cream cleanser. After rinsing it off, it leaves your skin feeling deeply clean and somewhat tighter. An example of a gel cleanser would be Neutrogena Acne wash.

Big difference. Gel cleansers are for combo/oily skin. They break down oil and impurities. Cream cleansers are more geared for dry skin that is delipidated (lacking oil). Cream cleansers break down impurities without stripping oil and drying skin further. Non soap cleansers like Cetaphil are great because they don’t disrupt PH too mush or leave a residue on skin.

    • Hi, Neat post. There’s an issue with your website in internet explorer, may check this? IE nonetheless is the marketplace leader and a good element of other people will miss your wonderful writing because of this problem.
